Poems for…all ages

This is a collection of fifty poems from various traditions and periods and includes ten especially chosen for young children. “Poems for…all ages” was compiled between 2001 and 2003.

The collection was initially funded by the King’s Fund, but the Arts Council of England and NHS Estates later joined in to help fund publication of large numbers of small poster versions of the poems in hard copy, for distribution around the NHS and beyond (hence the poems for young children).

In 2008, all the project’s poems so far produced were translated onto computer. Poems in hard copy became poems on screen, free for downloading  Our first website was launched by Andrew Motion in that year. He was the UK’s Poet Laureate at the time.

You can download all the poems on this site for free. All we ask is that you register and let us know how you’ll be using the poems.
